At the beginning
of this year, I received an email from a distant relative:
Date: Thursday, January 6,
2011, 2:34 PM
I am not certain if this is
the family contact or not, but I am the daughter of Carl Dominczak, granddaughter of Rose & Stanley Dominczak and would
like to contact whoever is in charge of this web site.
I responded and
we began to share information:
As I told you I am Carl Dominczak's
daughter. My father nor mother did not keep any documents pertaining to the Dominczak family. I am hoping to go
out on a long limb here hoping that there might be some family history on the Dominczak family, including Stanley who
lost his life during the war (Carl's brother). If there is any kind of history you have, it would be most appreciated
by myself and my sisters Donna and Carol.
What brought this to light was
when my dad was dying and Aunt Stella was there, she said they did not even know when their dad's birthday was. So of
course when our dad passed away we tore apart his house and could find nothing.
And we keep corresponding:
I live in East China, Michigan,
which is near Port Huron (funny being this close I should
have all the answers). Looked for mom and dad's address book and of course it is no where to be found.
You are not being
invasive; I am 55 years old and have lived in Michigan all my life.
Thanks for all
your help. My sister Carol and I are trying to gather family history for our kids, she has one daughter, and I have
one son. Our sister Donna never had any children.
Marlene, Carol,
and Donna need our help, any information would be appreciated. I believe they will be attending the 2011 family reunion, but
I could be wrong – please contact them through:
